Scope of the Journal

The Journal of Social and Economic Development is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research at the intersection of social sciences and economics. The journal examines how economic systems, social institutions, governance structures, technological innovation, demographic change, and public policies influence development outcomes, social stability, and economic transformation worldwide.

The journal welcomes contributions that explore the complex relationships between society and economy using qualitative, quantitative, comparative, and mixed-method approaches. Particular emphasis is placed on research that enhances understanding of development processes, social inclusion, institutional effectiveness, economic sustainability, and global socioeconomic transitions.

JSED seeks to bridge disciplinary boundaries by encouraging integrative research connecting economics, sociology, political science, development studies, public administration, human geography, and related fields. The journal prioritizes studies that generate actionable knowledge to support inclusive growth, sustainable development, and resilient societies.

The journal particularly encourages research employing advanced analytical and methodological approaches, including econometrics, computational social science, policy modelling, behavioral analysis, big data analytics, artificial intelligence applications in social science, impact evaluation, and comparative institutional analysis.
