Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently by journal editors without influence from the publisher or external stakeholders. The publisher provides technical, administrative, and production support only.

Manuscripts are evaluated based on scientific merit, methodological rigor, clarity of interpretation, and contribution to broader knowledge systems, including interdisciplinary relevance and potential real-world applicability.

Conflict of Interest Policy

All authors, reviewers, editors, and staff must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence their judgment. Declared conflicts are transparently managed to preserve objectivity, fairness, and trust in the editorial process.

Peer Review Policy

All submissions undergo structured double-blind peer review conducted by independent experts.

Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and absence of conflicts of interest. Reviews must be objective, confidential, and constructive.

In addition to scientific rigor, reviewers are encouraged to assess:

  • clarity of conceptual contribution
  • interdisciplinary relevance
  • potential contribution to broader knowledge systems
  • applicability or significance beyond narrow disciplinary boundaries

Final editorial decisions are based on peer review outcomes and editorial judgment.

Research Integrity and Misconduct Policy

Aidoo Academic Press maintains strict standards against plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and unethical image manipulation.

All submissions are screened prior to peer review. Verified misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, institutional notification, or submission restrictions.

The publisher also recognizes that research lacking transparency, coherence, or contextual scientific relevance undermines effective knowledge
communication and may be returned for revision or rejection.

Research Ethics Compliance Policy

Research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data must comply with recognized ethical standards.

Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval and informed consent where applicable. Non-compliant manuscripts may be rejected at any stage of
review or publication.

Data Availability and Transparency Policy

A Data Availability Statement is required for all research articles. Authors are encouraged to deposit datasets in recognized repositories and provide persistent links or Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

The publisher prioritizes research that supports reusable and integrable datasets that contribute to broader scientific systems and interdisciplinary research advancement.

Where data cannot be shared, a valid justification must be provided.

Open Access and Licensing Policy

All publications are freely accessible immediately upon publication under a Creative Commons license.

Authors retain copyright while granting the publisher rights to publish and distribute their work. Licensing supports unrestricted reuse with proper attribution, enabling global access to scientific knowledge.

Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

Aidoo Academic Press processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR principles.

Data is collected solely for publishing purposes, securely stored, and retained only as long as necessary. Users have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data.

Preprint Policy

The publisher allows the submission of manuscripts that have been previously posted on recognized preprint servers.

Preprint posting is not considered prior publication. Authors must disclose preprint details at submission and update records upon final publication with Digital Object Identifier information.

Advertising and Sponsorship Policy

Advertising is permitted only when it does not influence editorial or peer review decisions. Sponsored content is clearly identified and must meet ethical publishing standards.

The publisher reserves the right to reject advertising that is misleading, inappropriate, or inconsistent with academic integrity.

Complaints and Appeals Policy

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a reasoned request for review.

Complaints related to editorial handling or peer review are independently reviewed. Final decisions after appeal processes are considered conclusive.

Corrections and Retraction Policy

Published articles may be corrected or retracted when necessary.

Minor errors are addressed through corrections, while serious issues affecting validity, ethics, or integrity may result in retraction.

All updates remain permanently linked to the original publication to ensure transparency and preservation of the scholarly record.

Reprints and Permissions Policy

The publisher provides services for reprints and reuse of published content. Authors and institutions may request printed or digital reprints.

Permission is required for reuse of figures, tables, excerpts, or full articles in external works, including academic, educational, or commercial contexts. Licensing terms depend on usage scope.

All published content is assigned a Digital Object Identifier and preserved through recognized digital archiving systems.

The publisher ensures long-term accessibility through institutional repositories and international preservation frameworks, supporting continuity of the scholarly record.

Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy

Where applicable, publication costs are covered through Article Processing Charges that support editorial management, peer review, production, hosting, and archiving.

APCs are transparent, and waivers or discounts may be available for eligible authors based on financial or institutional criteria.
